Jacquelene joined DIA in 2017, bringing with her an expertise in connecting with clients and reading between the lines of what they want to design and incorporate both what they want and need. She has an in-depth knowledge of accessibility design, space planning, and construction detailing, and considers how people move through space in detail when approaching each project. Jacquelene has been heavily involved in shaping the downtown and Old City areas of Knoxville through her work on Starbucks at Hyatt Place and local businesses like Kaizen, Kopita, Henhoc Butcher, and more. Her project experience includes hospitality, restaurant, multi-family, corporate, and non-profit. Wanting to further her knowledge and expertise, Jacquelene obtained National Council for Interior Designer Qualification (NCIDQ) and is a certified Interior Designer.
Interested in getting more involved in the community, Jacquelene was appointed to the Knoxville-Knox County Planning Commission in 2020 and served as the 2020 Political Empowerment Chair for the Knoxville Area Urban League Young Professionals. Before joining DIA, she studied Architecture abroad in Florence, Italy and provided construction administration for the University of South Carolina’s housing department. In her free time, she enjoys painting, kayaking, and trying the latest local restaurants around town.
