Angela is a graduate of the University of Tennessee Knoxville’s College of Architecture and Design. She joined DIA’s team in 2021 as a student intern, where she gained her first taste of architecture in a professional setting. She was able to use the knowledge she gained at work to help her design process in the academic field. Upon her graduation, she decided to stay with DIA as an Associate Architect to continue learning and becoming a better designer through the support of her fellow co-workers. She also aspires to be a resource for others.

Angela was born in Manhattan, NY and spent her childhood in Queens and China. Her family’s business required them to move frequently, and they eventually settled in Livingston, TN. Angela found solace in expressing herself through art and design which later became an avocation that she wanted to pursue as a career. This led her to obtain a degree in design and she now plans to continue incorporating her skills into her professional work at DIA.

Outside of work, Angela loves to spend time with friends and family, love on her little corgi, Boots, try new foods/restaurants, listen to true crime podcasts, visit plant nurseries to add to her house plant collection, and travel to various parks/go on hikes.
