Born and raised in Morristown, Tennessee, Jared is a long-time East Tennessee native. In searching for design schools, Knoxville quickly became the perfect fit. Jared graduated from the University of Tennessee Knoxville in 2022 with a Bachelor of Architecture and Minor in Industrial Design and Joined DIA just a few weeks after. Prior to joining DIA, Jared grew his experience in both Architecture and Engineering, interning and working for a combined 7 years for various firms throughout high school and college.
His passion for architecture and design started at an early age and became a major influence on his everyday life, often drawing and doodling on anything within reach. In high school, his electives were split evenly between more creative courses such as art and drawing as well as more pragmatic courses such as engineering and architecture. Finding a balance between creativity and reality became a major driving force in the purist of architecture as a future. Throughout his education and early career, he became increasingly fascinated by the relationships between people and the spaces they interact with, finding inspiration in the everyday details that are often overlooked, and excited by the creativity that exists in the field of architecture. After graduating and the search for a firm began, Jared was immediately drawn to DIA’s wide variety of projects and their commitment to quality, human-centered design.
In his spare time, Jared enjoys spending time with his family and friends, taking a spontaneous road trip to explore new cites and is always on the lookout for exciting new places to eat.
