Historic Rehab
Design Innovation Architects (DIA) was commissioned to provide assistance in the historic rehabilitation of this 4,000-square-foot 1890s-era plantation home, involving the design of new bathroom and kitchen facilities.
The critical issue of this project was that the renovation be done in a sensitive manner so as not to detract from the historic value of the structure. This was accomplished by graphically documenting the home’s existing floor plans and elevations, then designing a new plan that would require no demolition of the original structure.
