Kaizen

Looking to change locations and expand their business, Kaizen approached DIA for our expertise in historic tenant renovation. Previously the Crown & Goose, DIA was tasked with separating the former bar and restaurant into three tenant spaces, with Kaizen occupying one of them. In addition to providing space planning, bar design, and commercial kitchen design, DIA reconfigured the building for code compliant access to shared restrooms and commercial kitchen space. This allowed Kaizen to capitalize on their expanded square footage. The outcome: a cozy space with a lot of character and the opportunity to bring Izakaya-style Japanese cuisine to the Old City.
