Pete’s Coffee Shop
In the relocation of this long-established downtown eatery, the owner’s greatest concern was providing patrons with the warmth and charm of the original diner while enjoying a new, more modern facility.
The design created an invigorating yet comfortable atmosphere, while providing all of the services within the client’s budget.
Three narrow and small retail spaces on the ground level of a 6-story parking structure were combined. Each of the spaces had its floor at a different elevation, corresponding to the street slope. The solution modified the floors into a combined single-floor level, allowing for an efficient food service operation while meeting accessibility requirements.
